Vinh Phoi (Vietnam, 1937-2017), born in Hue, he graduated in fine arts (in 1958) and pedagogics (in 1959) from Gia Dinh School of Fine Arts and Decoration (the École des Arts appliqués Gia Dinh). Then, he pursued a course of fine arts & sculpture at Rome University of Fine Arts and studied arts at Rome University in Italy from 1960 to 1966. Between 1967 and 1975, he was appointed as a president of Hue College of Fine Arts and a vice-president of Hue Fine Arts University over a period of 24 years (1976 – 1999)… Also, he was awarded as a meritorious teacher by government.
